I am Katie Benza with the Welch Team with Keller Williams Atlantic Partners Southside.

I moved from a 200 acre farm in Cincinnati, Ohio two years ago. Health concerns caused my family and I to move to Florida. I was a special educator for 12 years. We moved to St. Johns County because education is very important to me and this county is ranked #1 in the state. The ability to be outside year around with sun and exercise has improved our quality of life tremendously.

Being in education I loved helping kids to read. I discovered a program for my district and piloted the program with much success. This led to me instructing all of the elementary special educators in our district on the program. After many years I decided I was ready for a new challenge. I went further with my education and received my Masters in Curriculum and Leadership; yet still something was missing.

My grandfather was in real estate for many years. I grew up going to his open houses and dreamed that I could be just like him. Then, I met my husband who's family opened several Keller Williams offices in Cincinnati. My husband has always had a passion and talent for renovating homes. I began helping with the process. I realized I have always had a love of real estate and wanted to work in the profession full time.

Guess what?! I was also 78 pounds heavier ten years ago. Jenny Craig was the only thing that worked for me. I ended up doing a commercial, billboards and marketing for the company. I have now maintained my weight despite having two kids. Fitness and eating healthy are important to me. I am motivated and driven to maintain my goals.

My motivation and drive has helped me to be successful in real estate. I joined this business to be an honest and caring real estate agent that truly wants to do right by the customer. I am here to provide knowledge, guidance and support as I work to get you the most fair and reasonable price for your home.
